Siddharthnagar: On the third day of the nomination process, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Jagdambika Pal, along with District President Kanhaiya Paswan, Basi MLA Jai Pratap Singh, Shohratgarh MLA Vinay Verma, District Panchayat President Sheetal Singh, went to the nomination room and filed nomination papers before the Election Officer.
Before nomination, the MP along with his wife Sneh Lata Pal, daughter Pooja and Aarti Pal, visited Shri Siheswari Temple and Hanuman Garhi Temple. After that he filed nomination.
After this, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak held a road show in the city with the MP and sought votes for MP Jagdambika Pal.
A huge crowd of supporters gathered on the road of MP Jagdambika Pal. In view of the nomination process and the program of the Deputy Chief Minister, strict security arrangements were made by the district administration.
During the road show, supporters welcomed Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak and MP Jagdambika Pal by showering flowers on them.
Jagdambika Pal is an Indian politician belonging to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for 1 day in 1998. He is also currently a member of the Lok Sabha since 2009. In the 15th Lok Sabha he represented the Indian National Congress, until he resigned on 7 March 2014. Contextually, he joined the BJP in 2014 and re-entered the Lok Sabha.
He is a member of Bharatiya Janata Party. He parted from the Indian National Congress to join All India Indira Congress (Tiwari) of N. D. Tiwari but in 1997, he formed Akhil Bharatiya Loktantrik Congress along with Naresh Agarwal, Rajeev Shukla and Shyam Sunder Sharma and Bacha Pathak and became Minister of Transport in Kalyan Singh government.
